Faith + Repentance = Conversion

Ephesians 2:8
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—"

Psalm 37:3
"Trust in the LORD and do good;  dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture."

Hebrews 8:6
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

John 5:39
"You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me(JESUS CHRIST),"

Romans 10:17
"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.?

Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Matthew 4:20-21
20- "Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,
21- being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised."

CONCLUSION :
THE BASE OF THE FAITH IS GOD AND HIS BEING IMMUTABLE AND ETERNAL, AND BECAUSE OF IT WE CAN TRUST FULLY IN HIS WORDS AND PROMISES. 
THE FAITH IS NOT OTHER THING THAT THE RELATION WITH THE PERSON OF GOD ACCORDING TO HIS WORD, AND A DEEP CONFIDENCE IN JESUS CHRIST AND HIS SALVATION.

REPENTANT - Sunday January 11, 2009.


Matthew 4:17
"From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Luke:8-9
8- "But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount."
9-Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house..."

2Peter 3:9
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He(GOD) is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

2Timothy 2:25
"Those who oppose him(Lord's servant) he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,"

Psalm 51:1-3
1-"Have mercy on me, O God according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.
2- Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
3- For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me."

2Corinthians 7:9
"yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us."

Act 17:30
"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent."

CONCLUSION
THE WORD OF GOD(BIBLE) TEACHES US THAT THE REPENTANCE IS A CONDITION INDISPENSABLE TO BE ABLE TO AGREE TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
WITHOUT REPENTANCE THERE IS NOT PARDON OF SINS ON THE PART OF GOD;
WITHOUT PARDON OF SINS THERE IS NOT CLEANING OF HEART,
AND WITHOUT A CLEAN HEART THERE IS NOT ACCESS TO GOD.
THE ESSENCE OF THE REPENTANCE IS IN THE NEW COURSE THAT TAKES THE LIFE OF THE CONVERTED PERSON. EXAMPLE IS "THE PARABLE OF THE LOST SON " (refer to Luke 15:11-32).

John 1:12-13
12- "Yet to all who received him(JESUS CHRIST), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
13- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God."

John 3:6-7
6- "Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
7- You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'

1Corinthians 2:14
"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. "

Jeremiah 17:9
"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"

Ezequiel 36:25-26
25- "I(GOD) will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.
26- I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

Ephesians 2:1-5
1- "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
2- in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
3- All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.
4- But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
5- made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved."

1Peter 1:23
"For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God."

CONCLUSION
THE SPIRITUAL REGENERATION(BORN AGAIN) THAT GOD WORKS IN THE PEOPLE 

IS FOR ACTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO COMES TO DWELL IN THE HEARTH OF 

THE BELIEVER CONVERTED TO CHRISTIANITY. 
THE BENEFITS OF THE  SPIRITUAL REGENERATION ARE - TO BE SON OF GOD, 

NEW CREATURE, TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DIVINE NATURE (THAT IS TO BE 

COHEIRS WITH JESUS CHRIST), AND TO PARTICIPATE IN THE VICTORY OF 

JESUS OVER THE SIN.
