THE CONSEQUENCES OF A LIFE FAR FROM GOD, Sunday May 25, 2008.

The more tragic consequence of the disobedience is the separation from God.

Genesis 3:7
"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves."

Genesis 3:9-10
9- "But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
10- He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

Genesis 3:11-12
11- "And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
12- The man said, "The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it."

Genesis 3:17
"To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life."Galatians 6:7"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."

Romans 5:17, 19
17- "For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
19- For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous."

CONCLUSION: The children of God are humble, affectionate, straight. The sin is done by persons who are self-centered, proud, evil, self-sufficient, ungrateful to God. We have to pray to be able to obey the commands of God then we are not going to have consequences of a sad life far from God.
